is a mother who was stuck at home because she could not find flexible employment in the DE5 area of Ripley that would allow her to work school hours and continue to look after her own family.
In 2006, Claire and her friend started to look into Childminding. After a lot of hard work preparing this new venture The Playhouse was created and she became NCMA & Ofsted registered.
Her first working week was 4th June 2007 and involved caring for two children but within a few months she had reached her maximum allowed. Since becoming a childminder Claire has cared for nearly thirty children and has many Thankyou cards from parents that have found her service invaluable.
Currently she has several registered children attending throughout the week and/or during school holidays from one morning a week to full time 8am until 6pm.
At busy times Claire has an Assistant registered to help provide additional care when needed.
Claire currently does school runs to St John's CE School, Dannah Street & Ripley Nursery, Sandham Lane.
